What I found to be helpful was to schedule myself time to do whatever I wanted to do at the same time each day. If my daughter was in school or taking a nap that allowed me some flexibility, that was the time I took for myself daily and I took it. All to often, we skip taking time for ourselves to do for others and we place ourselves on the back burner. This is merely a sure bet for "burn out". If we are not emotionally and physically well we can't possibly take care of our family and business like we want to.
My suggestion is to take that time for yourself daily, and take it at the same time everyday. Be it 20 minutes, or an hour. Whatever time you allot yourself, take it. Relax and enjoy this time daily. You will feel so much better. I found also that if I just sat and read or worked on a project that I wanted to do for myself, even if it was just to sit outside and get some sun, I felt rejuvenated and ready to tackle just about anything.
By taking time for yourself daily, balancing your family, your business and yourself will be easier and more fun. This may very well apply to all aspects of your life. They say that taking care of yourself is most important so that you are able to take care everyone in your family. From personal experience, I can tell you this is very true. Take time for yourself. Start today and enjoy this time everyday. You will see what a difference it can make in your life, your family's life and your business.
